housing + public realm

As a culmination of the semester, our final project was to create multi-family housing that also connected an elevated street to Freedom Parkway in Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta. With the understanding gained from previous exercises, I prioritized the experience of individual units, creating areas of privacy and areas for communal gathering, while also creating prominent vertical procession from the lower Freedom Parkway level to the elevated street level. Using the understanding gained not just from this studio, but from Media + Modeling I and Construction Technology and Design Integration I, I created both 2D diagrams and drawings, as well as models that expressed the themes of my design intervention.
